Whitley County Court Calendars Explained
Whitley County does not publish an official daily or weekly list of all hearings. The practical court calendar is each case's Chronological Case Summary, or CCS, in Indiana MyCase. It records events in sequence. A setting may be scheduled, held, continued, reset, passed, vacated, or disposed. Whitley Circuit Court and Whitley Superior Court both use Odyssey, which supplies selected public data to MyCase.
The county government's event calendar lists meetings and planning events, not court settings. Its filters for title, date, department, category, topic, location, and event type do not locate a case. An empty result there says nothing about a pending matter. Use the CCS, a current summons or order, or direct court confirmation.
Whitley MyCase Calendar Starting Point
Begin with the cause number when known. By Case accepts a case number, citation number, or cross-reference number, but only one at a time. Whitley numbers start with 92C01 for Circuit or 92D01 for Superior. Open Case Details and read events from oldest to newest. The last setting-related entry gives the best online lead.
A date beside a CCS note can be the date the note was entered, not the hearing date. Inspect later events for a continuance, order, disposition, or cancellation. MyCase is free and needs no public account, but the official record remains with the clerk and court.
The official MyCase search tips explain these controls.

This view shows why government meeting events must not be mistaken for Whitley court dates.
Finding Your Court Date
Use every documented channel when a date matters. MyCase is the fastest start. The court office is the better authority for a live setting. The clerk can locate records and provides a courthouse public computer. Counsel can confirm the latest order.
- Read the citation, summons, notice, or latest order for the printed date, time, and courthouse.
- Search MyCase by exact cause number, or by party with Whitley County selected.
- Compare the newest setting with later resets, passes, continuances, or cancellations.
- Call Circuit at 260-248-3115 or Superior at 260-248-3119 for an unclear live setting.
- Call the Clerk at 260-248-3102, or use the clerk's counter and public terminal, if the case is not online.
- Check with counsel and bring the current written notice when appearing.
Whitley Court Setting Terms
Labels mark different stages. They do not make every date a trial. No local master list is published.
- Arraignment
- An early criminal proceeding on charges and the plea process.
- Pretrial conference
- A check on readiness, motions, discovery, or resolution.
- Motion hearing
- A proceeding focused on a request for a ruling.
- Trial
- The proceeding where disputed claims or charges are decided.
- Disposition
- An event or judgment that resolves a claim, charge, or case.
A held hearing is not always the final outcome. Read the next CCS entries.
How to Read a Court Setting
A Whitley setting check pairs event text with the case identity and court code. Fields can appear in Case Details, an event, or a linked order.
| Date | Scheduled date, checked against later entries and orders. |
|---|---|
| Time | Appearance time; ask whether it is a docket call or individual setting. |
| Courtroom | Assigned room or location, subject to court-confirmed change. |
| Judge | The judicial officer or court assigned to the setting. |
| Setting Type | Arraignment, pretrial, hearing, trial, sentencing, or review. |
Whitley Court Streams and Broadcasts
A stream is not a court calendar. Indiana Court Streams lists some public streams, but availability depends on court approval and the proceeding. A missing stream does not cancel a hearing.

The portal is a viewing channel only when the Whitley court lists the proceeding.
A county broadcast request asks for the court, cause number, caption, date, requested portion, and whether a request is expedited because it came fewer than ten days before the hearing. Completed forms go to clerk@whitleygov.com. Approval is not guaranteed.
The judicial order archive adds court administration context.

Orders and broadcast permission remain distinct from the CCS setting.
Continuances, Resets, and Cancellations
A continuance moves a proceeding. A reset replaces an old setting. A pass or vacated entry can take an event off the active Whitley calendar. None means dismissal. The later CCS entry or order controls.
If a new date is missing, call the office for the code in the cause number. Weather, security, and room changes can affect a setting, but no standing Whitley weather calendar was found.
Whitley Text Reminders Have Limits
Whitley appears on Indiana's Odyssey hearing text program list. The state reminder page explains the optional service. It does not replace an order.

The newest CCS entry and direct confirmation remain the stronger sources.
Whitley Appellate Dates Are Separate
An appeal receives its own appellate cause number and docket. The Indiana appellate decisions search can help locate a published ruling, but it is not the place to confirm a Whitley trial-court hearing. The appellate CCS may link a related trial case number, especially for newer cases.
The Indiana appellate decisions search shows this separate layer.

Whitley Calendar Backup Channels
Online access can fail for several sound reasons. A CAPTCHA may stop a search session. An old file may not have been converted, and a setting document may exist without a public image. In each case, the next step is an official channel, not a guess. The Whitley Clerk's courthouse computer lets the public conduct its own search. Staff at the counter or on the phone can help locate the record, while the judge's office remains the best source for the present status of a live setting.
Mail serves copy requests when time is not urgent. The county Files Department handles older holdings that may be stored as books, microfilm, or case packets, and an appointment may be needed. Give the cause number, court code, party name, and approximate date. Those details help staff distinguish the right Whitley County court calendar event from another case with a similar name.
A party represented by counsel should also ask counsel to compare the online CCS with the latest served order. Court notices may arrive after an earlier date was entered online. Keep the newest order. If two sources conflict, call the court shown in the cause number and describe both dates before deciding when to appear.
If You Miss a Court Setting
Act at once. Read the newest CCS entry, call the correct court, and contact counsel if represented. The clerk can locate the case but cannot give legal advice. Ask whether an order, warrant, new hearing, or other entry has been added. Write down the office contacted and the instructions given. Do not act on an old date unless court staff or counsel confirms it. If the record is not online, use the cause number from the notice so staff can find the exact Whitley file.
Missed a setting? Failure to appear can lead to a warrant, bond action, or another order.
Contact the Whitley court and your lawyer promptly; do not assume a new date was set.
